Christmas Common
I began a project at the end of September to paint the commercial woods of Greenfield Farm near Christmas Common at the request of Jane and Andrew Ingram. The woods are managed to create a commercial crop so the planting and growth patterns will be different to the urban woods and wild nature reserves I usually paint. Andrew has pigs helping him keep down bracken and undergrowth and many trees grow straight up with very little branching till you reach the top of the tree. I managed to get three days in before the weather turned cold and wet. The idea is to pick things up in spring 2013 and produce enough work for a local show.
