Brighton Art Fair
I was offered a space at the Brighton Art Fair in September when someone pulled out at the last minute. I thought it might be a good way to make a connection into the city. Spent a day setting up and three days standing around ending up with back ache, no sales and the certainty that art fairs are not for me. Conversations with the public around the work was very interesting and was a highlight of the three days. An elderly lady told me how her husband built a glass caravan so he could go out landscape painting in winter, creating a mental image hard to forget.
