Kensington Place Restaurant
The Rowley gallery organise shows of gallery artists on the ‘art wall’ at Kensington Place Restaurant, Kensington Church Street W8. I was asked to fill the wall with a selection of tree paintings from West London woodland and nature reserves. This offered me the chance, as always intended, to display the pictures, painted in a uniform A2 portrait format, in the form of a grid highlighting individual trees and their varied patterns of growth. The wall is large, approximately 10 foot high x 20 foot wide, so I could hang 22 framed pictures to support the idea of comparative viewing. The pictures were hung at the beginning of July with the display continuing to the end of November 2014 providing a woodland setting for fine eating.
